We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who attended the 5th Biological Days for making it yet another successful meeting in Nitra!

Firstly, our thanks goes to the invited speakers for exciting plenary lectures highlighting the latest advances in the different fields of biology. Especially we thank to all participants who submitted a contribution and had high quality short orals and poster presentations.

Secondly, we thank chairs, reviewers and committee members who contributed much time and effort to help create an interesting conference programme.

Finally, we very much appreciate the support that we receive from our sponsors.

Our special gratitude goes to the prof. RNDr. Ľubomír Zelenický, CSc., the Dean of Faculty of Natural Sciences, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra  for his auspices and official opening of the conference.

We believe that everybody who took part at the conference also found the plenary lectures, short orals and posters wery interesting. We hope that the conference was also a rich source of new ideas and contacts.
